Business and scope
Jordan Fish, Shoreham-By-Sea, West Sussex, VAT ID GB 280924687, provides practical angling preparation and equipment-matching consultations under the Castmark Angling brand. The service may include discussion of venue type, target species, existing equipment, rod and reel compatibility, line and terminal tackle specifications, packing and bank-side preparation.
The service does not include fishing rights, permits, licences, charter or guiding services, safety supervision, medical or food-safety advice, or any guarantee that fish will be caught. Conditions on the water can change and the client remains responsible for deciding whether it is safe and lawful to fish at the chosen place and time.
Enquiry and formation of a contract
Submitting a form is an invitation to discuss a possible service and does not by itself create a paid contract. We review the information supplied and may ask questions where the scope is unclear. A contract for a paid consultation is formed only when the scope, price, timing and means of payment have been confirmed to the customer and accepted.
Customers are responsible for providing materially accurate information about the venue, target species and equipment they want reviewed. Advice may be limited if specifications are missing or if a request falls outside the services described above.
Prices, payment and delivery
Indicative consultation prices displayed on the website are Bank-Side Brief £42.50, Tackle Match £78.50 and Trip-Ready Plan £116.50. The applicable price is confirmed before a paid contract begins. Equipment purchases, fishery tickets, licences, delivery charges and third-party products are not included unless specifically agreed in writing.
Where payment is required, the customer will be told the accepted payment method before the service starts. We provide the consultation within the agreed time. If no specific performance time has been agreed, the service will be provided within a reasonable time and with reasonable care and skill.
Cancellation and statutory rights
Where a consumer enters into an eligible distance contract for a service, a 14-day cancellation period generally applies from the day the contract is made. The consumer can cancel without giving a reason by making a clear statement to Jordan Fish using the contact details on this website.
If the consumer expressly asks us to begin providing the service during the cancellation period, and then cancels after work has started, the consumer may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the service supplied up to cancellation where permitted by law. If a service has been fully performed during the cancellation period after the consumer expressly requested early performance and acknowledged the effect on the cancellation right, the statutory right to cancel may end as permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights relating to services performed with reasonable care and skill. Further practical details about cancellations, early performance and reimbursements are set out in our Cancellation & refund policy.
Client responsibilities, equipment and conditions
The customer remains responsible for checking local fishery rules, seasonal restrictions, statutory licences and permits, access conditions, weather and tides. Equipment must be inspected before use. Recommendations are based on the information available at the time and may need adjustment if the venue or conditions differ materially.
We are not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate information supplied by the customer, use of equipment outside the manufacturer’s intended specification, failure to follow fishery rules, or a decision to fish in conditions the customer considers unsafe. We do not exclude liability where exclusion is prohibited by law.
Force majeure and events outside reasonable control
If a consultation cannot be provided at the agreed time because of events outside reasonable control, we will contact the customer as soon as reasonably practicable and seek to rearrange the service. Where a material delay cannot be resolved, any rights to cancel or obtain a refund that apply under consumer law remain unaffected.
Complaints
If you believe the service has not been provided as agreed, contact Jordan Fish at [email protected] or +441903284695 with the service date and a description of the issue. We will review the complaint and respond within a reasonable time.
Changes and governing law
We may revise these website terms for future services when our offering or legal requirements change. The version in force when a paid service is agreed applies to that contract unless the parties later agree otherwise.
These terms are governed by the law applicable in the part of the United Kingdom where the consumer resides, and nothing in them prevents a consumer from relying on mandatory rights or bringing a claim in a court that has jurisdiction under consumer law.
