Cancellation & refund policy

What happens when plans change.

Last updated: 22 September 2026. This policy explains cancellation and refund arrangements for paid fishing-preparation and tackle-matching consultations supplied by Jordan Fish through deejayfoto.com.

Scope of this policy

Jordan Fish, Shoreham-By-Sea, West Sussex, VAT ID GB 280924687, provides fishing-preparation and equipment-matching consultations under the Castmark Angling brand. This policy applies to the paid consultation services described on deejayfoto.com, including Bank-Side Brief, Tackle Match and Trip-Ready Plan where a paid contract has been agreed.

Submitting an enquiry form does not by itself create a paid contract and does not create a payment obligation. The consultation scope, applicable price, timing and payment arrangements are confirmed before a paid service begins. Equipment sold by third parties, fishery tickets, statutory licences, travel costs and other third-party charges are outside this policy unless Jordan Fish has expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

The 14-day cancellation period for eligible distance service contracts

Where you are acting as a consumer and enter into an eligible distance contract for a service, you will generally have 14 days from the day the contract is made to cancel without giving a reason. To exercise that right, you need to make a clear statement that you wish to cancel before the cancellation period expires.

If no part of the service has begun and a valid cancellation is made within the applicable cancellation period, payments made for that cancelled service will be reimbursed in accordance with your statutory rights. Nothing in this policy reduces any cancellation right that applies to you under mandatory UK consumer law.

If you ask us to start during the cancellation period

You may ask for a consultation or preparation work to begin before the 14-day cancellation period has ended. Where the law requires it, we will only begin early after receiving the necessary express request from you. If you then cancel after work has begun, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the service supplied up to the time you informed us of the cancellation.

If the service has been fully performed during the cancellation period after you expressly requested early performance and acknowledged that the statutory cancellation right would be lost once the service was completed in full, the right to cancel on a change-of-mind basis may end as permitted by law. This does not affect rights relating to a service that was not supplied with reasonable care and skill or was otherwise not provided as agreed.

Services that are not provided as agreed

Paid services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with the agreed description. If you believe a consultation was materially incomplete, not delivered as agreed or otherwise failed to meet rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, contact Jordan Fish with the service date, the consultation purchased and a clear description of the issue.

Depending on the circumstances and the rights that apply, an appropriate remedy may include repeat performance, a price reduction or a refund. The remedy will be assessed by reference to the service actually agreed and supplied and will not be based on whether fish were caught, because catch results depend on conditions and are never guaranteed as part of a Castmark Angling consultation.

Rescheduling and events outside reasonable control

If we cannot provide a booked consultation at the agreed time, we will contact you and seek a reasonable alternative date or time. If a material delay cannot be resolved and you are legally entitled to end the contract, any applicable refund will be handled in accordance with your statutory rights and this policy.

If you need to move an appointment rather than cancel it, contact us as soon as reasonably possible. A rescheduling request does not remove any statutory cancellation right that still applies to the contract.

Refund timing and method

Where a refund is due following cancellation of a service contract, we will make the reimbursement within the period required by applicable consumer law. For an eligible cancelled service contract, this will generally be no later than 14 days after we are informed of the decision to cancel, subject to any lawful deduction for services already supplied following a valid request for early performance.

Unless another method is expressly agreed, a refund will ordinarily be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction. We do not impose a separate administration fee simply for exercising a statutory cancellation right.

How to request cancellation or a refund

You do not need to use a special form. A clear statement is sufficient. Include your name, the consultation concerned, the date on which it was agreed or booked, and whether you are asking to cancel before the service starts, cancel after early performance has begun, or raise an issue about a service already supplied.

Send the request to Jordan Fish, Shoreham-By-Sea, West Sussex. Email: [email protected]. Telephone: +441903284695. These details are provided so that the request can be matched to the relevant consultation and handled without avoidable delay.

Relationship with the Terms & service conditions

This policy should be read together with the Terms & service conditions. If a mandatory consumer right gives you greater protection than a provision in either document, the mandatory right applies. This policy does not exclude or restrict rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
